Below you will find answers to some frequently asked questions. If you have any other questions, queries or you would just like some general advice about your little one’s party, get in touch, I’ll be more than happy to help :).

Booking is easy, simply get in touch, click here to fill in the contact form and I’ll get back to you ASAP.  You can also text 07979127085 or email gofunparties@gmail.com with your little one’s name, age, the town where the party will be held and your preferred party date.

There is a small non-refundable reservation fee of £20 to secure your booking.  The remaining balance can be paid cash on the day of the party or through BACS before the party date.

If you like I can provisionally book your chosen party date and time in my diary for a couple of days to allow you to secure your venue first.  Just get in touch and let me know if you would like me to do this for you.

Yes.  I’ll arrive around 20-30mins before the party start time to set up and get ready.

It’s actually best not to hire anything else.  The parties are so jam packed with activities which are all very structured that there would just be no time for anything else and having two things going on at the same time means the party becomes less organised.

The parties are for up to 30 children.  If you anticipate more please let me know.

The entertainment provided will be age appropriate to the child having the party but I’ve found that younger and older guests at the party love it too! However I do recommend only booking if you have a decent sized gathering of 3-6 year olds.

I supply everything to entertain at the party including props, prizes and music. You just need to sort the food, cake and if you are having them party bags, yay!

The parties are strategically designed to encourage the shyer children to join in but of course I always play it by ear and never force a child to participate in anything that they don’t want to do.  Parent’s are often shocked because their child often ends up joining in with EVERYTHING, which is lovely to see.

If you need to change the party date or time just get in touch.  I’ll always try my best to accomodate any changes.

I totally understand that occasionally parties need to be cancelled. You can reschedule your booking as long as there is availability for your new date.  I can hold your reservation fee for up to 12months. 

If you need to completely cancel your booking you will lose the £20 reservation fee you paid.

Yes. I have full public liability insurance and Pat testing.  Some venue’s will ask you to get these documents.  Just let me know and i’ll get in touch with them for you to send the documents over.

In a 2hour party, the food (provided by you) is served after the first hour.

I have two different magic shows, if you have seen me before and would like the party to be mixed up a bit please let me know and I can send you details of each magic show for you to choose which one you would like me to include at your child’s party.

I’ll arrive 20-30mins before the party start time to set everything up and put the music on so guests arrive into a party atmosphere.   To begin the party I will introduce myself and get the children excited to begin your child’s party.  We start with a couple of warm up activities and then enjoy an interactive, funny magic show.  This will take us up to around the first hour where we will break for party food.  Typically food takes around 20mins, but just as soon as the kids are ready I’ll carry on.  

In the 2hr Go Bonkers package I’ll pop the flashy lights on, we’ll sing happy birthday while you bring in the cake followed by around 40mins of non-stop dancing and games and a group photo at the end.  

In the 2hr Laughter and Candy package I’ll serve yummy, fluffy candy floss on sticks to party guests.  Around 15-20mins before the end of the party I’ll gather all the children together again to sing happy birthday/bring in the cake followed by pass the parcel a final dance and a group photo.

Definitely! The magic show is very, very interactive and it’s okay if they can’t sit still.  They might even surprise you!

I have done 1st birthday parties before but I was hired more for keeping the older guests entertained.  The games, prizes, magic show and equipment are suitable for age 3+.  I advise to only book me if you have a good sized gathering of 3-6 year olds.  For toddlers sensory based party entertainment is more suitable.


Planning a joint birthday with someone else is a great idea to save costs and it also means you have more people on hand on the day if you have a joint party with one of your child’s friends.  However I do recommend no more than a 2 year age gap between the children.  The reason for this is the style and presentation vary when doing a party for a 3year old as opposed to a 6 year old.

I have done a few garden parties but I have decided now to rule them out for the following reasons.  

  • The weather here is so unpredictable so if it rains you have a lot of rearranging to do. 
  • My equipment is powered by electricity.  To enable me to hold the party outside I would need to run an extention cable from indoors. This causes hazard issues. 
  • On the rare occasion it’s dry and sunny.  Children sitting in the sun for up to 2hrs can be dangerous. 
  • Finally windy conditions are nobody’s friend.
